Job summary

Homechoice, a leading South African homeware retailer, seeks a dedicated SHEQ professional to implement and audit compliance across OH&S, environmental, quality and security, ensuring all operations meet current legislation and SHERQ standards at our Distribution Centre.

You will drive risk reduction, coordinate audits, train staff, manage the MANGO SHERQ system, and work with multiple departments to achieve ISO certifications and zero injuries.

Qualifications

• Matric; diploma or degree in a relevant field.
• 2–5 years in safety administration or SHE role.
• Certification as First Aider, Fire Fighter and Health & Safety Rep.
• Valid driver's license; willingness to travel.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001/14001/9001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards and risks and implement controls.
• Audit SHERQ processes and compile reports.
• Coordinate monthly SHE meetings and training.
• Maintain MANGO SHERQ Online Management System.
• Ensure compliance with OHS, COID, NEMA and POPI.
• Manage budgets for SHERQ initiatives.
• Oversee security and facilities maintenance.
• Collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement.
