Job summary

Samancor Chrome Ltd. in Limpopo seeks a SHEQ professional to conduct inspections and audits, implement and monitor ISO-based systems, and ensure compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act.

You will analyze data, train on-site staff, and coordinate investigations while supporting contractors to uphold safety standards across operations. The role requires a Trade Certificate, a valid driver’s license, HIRA competence, and experience with regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Trade Certificate is a must.
• HIRA and Incident Investigations Competence.
• Driver’s Licence and own transport.
• Open Cast Experience and Computer Literacy advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox).
• Utilize the IMS to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.
• Generate SHEQ system reports to ensure legal compliance.
• Conduct on the job training and coaching.
• Conduct scheduled audits and inspections as required by law and policy.
• Analyse SHEQ data to identify trends and recommend actions.
• Implement and monitor adherence to SHEQ Standards.
• Develop and participate in SHEQ awareness campaigns/Interventions.
• Monitor SHEQ system compliance and contractor adherence.
• Provide SHEQ training related to the systems.
• Conduct incident investigations according to legal requirements.
