Job summary

Samancor Chrome Site seeks a senior leader to head Environmental and Quality (E&Q), including Laboratory and Environmental Departments, to embed a culture of SHEQ excellence site-wide.

You will drive risk management, ensure IMS-based compliance, and lead E&Q projects while aligning with Group policies and ISO standards. The role requires strategic leadership and hands-on governance to improve site performance.

Qualifications

• Soft skills as identified per department / level.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Environmental and Quality Team including Laboratory & Environmental Departments.
• Identify baseline- and issue-based risk exposures and implement mitigations and controls.
• Manage SHEQ compliance through effective use of the IMS Toolbox.
• Utilise the IMS to analyse trends, initiate actions, and report SHEQ status.
• Drive E&Q projects and maintain ISO accreditation.
• Develop and align Policies, Procedures, and Toolkits at Site Level.
