Job summary

Pick n Pay Durban North is seeking a reliable merchandiser to help merchandise products according to laid down standards, check quality, rotate stock and maintain the cold chain where applicable.

The role requires a Grade 12 and successful competency-based interview; you will assist with pricing, respond to customer queries, offload trucks and promote products on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Must be successful in competency based interview.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise products according to laid down standards.
• Check quality, rotate stock, remove expired stock.
• Prevent wastage/ shrinkage/ damages.
• Check temperatures/ maintain the cold chain (if applicable).
• Check correct pricing e.g. labels.
• Adhere to and maintain security procedures.
• Operate and clean equipment according to laid down standards.
• Respond to customers’ queries in courteous manner.
• Promote products.
• Offload trucks.
