Job summary

Edgemead Primary School seeks a Grade 6 Educator starting 01 January 2027. The candidate should demonstrate excellent English communication, CAPS mastery, and experience in Afrikaans FAL within the ISP, plus leadership of Grade 6 classes. Strong pastoral care and active involvement in school activities are valued.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Thorough knowledge of CAPS content and relevant assessment practices.
• Experience in teaching, planning and/or leading Afrikaans FAL in the ISP.
• Experience as a Grade 6 Class and Subject Teacher.
• State subjects taught in ISP and which grades taught.
• Knowledge of and experience in SIAS protocols.
• Digital literacy (One Drive & Apple) for administration, teaching and content creation.
• Active involvement in school activities beyond the classroom – rugby, netball, and/or hockey would be advantageous.
• Distinctive growth mindset, work ethic, professional values and pastoral care.
