Job summary

Hitachi, Ltd. seeks a motivated Service Sales Specialist to join the team. You will work with the Service Sales Manager to generate opportunities, secure profitable sales, and deliver exceptional customer value.

Focus on Installed Base penetration and promoting the full Service Product portfolio in collaboration with service units. You will build long-term customer relationships, respond to needs quickly, and help shape innovative solutions in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of service sales, estimation & bids proposals experience.
• Proven understanding of Hitachi Energy systems and products.
• Experience in the energy sector.
• Strong commercial, technical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to travel across assigned countries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, quotations, and bids with technical and commercial considerations.
• Drive proactive and reactive sales for High Voltage and Transformer service portfolios.
• Evaluate client requirements, terms, and propose techno‑commercial solutions.
• Manage tendering, pricing strategies, and risk reviews with the Service Sales Manager.
• Maintain project pipeline, forecasts, and documentation with Hitachi Energy tools.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships; respond to issues promptly.
• Identify new market opportunities and develop strategic sales plans.
• Support marketing activities, product launches, and customer meetings.
• Ensure compliance with internal/external regulations, HSE and quality standards.
• Demonstrate leadership and a disciplined approach to delivering results.
• Adhere to applicable regulations and guidelines.

How you’ll make an impact

• Preparing proposals, quotations, and competitive bids with accurate technical and commercial considerations.

• Driving proactive and reactive sales for High Voltage and Transformer service portfolios.

• Evaluating client requirements, assess commercial terms, and propose techno-commercial solutions.

• Managing tendering process, pricing strategies, and risk reviews in coordination with Service Sales Manager.

• Maintaining project pipeline, forecasts, and documentation using Hitachi Energy tools.

• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, respond promptly to issues, and act as voice of the customer internally.

• Identifying new market opportunities and develop strategic sales plans.

• Supporting marketing activities, product launches, and customer meetings.

• Ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations, HSE, and quality standards.

• Demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and disciplined approach to deliver accurate results.

Your background

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in Service sales, Estimation & Bids Proposals and strong customer relationship skills.

• Proven understanding of Hitachi Energy systems and products

• Experience working within the Energy sector

• Strong commercial, technical, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work independently, with a strategic and result-oriented mindset.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to travel across assigned countries as needed.

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
