Job summary

Verto People, Ltd. seeks a Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer to join a global engineering manufacturer in the Netherlands.

You will service, repair, maintain and install compressed air equipment on customer sites, with full product training provided and weekly visits near Leiden. Ideal candidates have field service experience in electromechanical equipment, strong diagnostic skills, and a willingness to travel nationwide in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Electrical and/or mechanical engineering background with strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Compressor Engineer or similar.
• Background working with electromechanical products such as compressors, HVAC, pneumatics and pumps.
• Knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
• Customer-focused, able to travel across the Netherlands and willing to be onsite weekly near Leiden.
• Commutable to Leiden area for training and team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain compressed air equipment including compressors and dryers.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding and breakdown repairs at customer sites across the Netherlands.
• Install and commission compressed air and pneumatic equipment in industrial environments.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide on-site technical support.
• Travel weekly to sites across the Netherlands reporting to the Leiden area.

Job description

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer required to join a global, leading engineering manufacturer.

The successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical service, repair, maintenance and installations for compressed air equipment including compressors, blowers , dryers, nitrogen generators, air filtration and associated products at customer sites throughout the Netherlands. Full product training will be provided.

The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will ideally have a field service background within electrical or mechanical engineering, working with equipment such as compressors, filtration systems, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum systems, pumps, industrial motors, medical gas, or other electro-mechanical equipment.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Role

• Service, repair and maintain compressed air equipment including compressors, dryers, filtration and vacuum systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown repairs for the compressed air systems at customer sites across Netherlands.
• Install and commission compressed air and pneumatic equipment across industrial and manufacturing environments.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide technical support on-site.
• Full remote covering Netherlands reporting to the site near Leiden weekly.
• Liaise with various engineering departments.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Requirements

• Electrical and/or mechanical engineering background with strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Compressor Engineer or similar within electromechanical products.
• Background working with electromechanical products such as industrial equipment, compressors, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, medical gas, vacuum systems or similar.
• Knowledge of three-phase electrics, controls and electromechanical systems advantageous.
• Customer-focused, able to work independently, with a full driving licence and willingness to travel across Netherlands
• Commutable to the site near Leiden atleast once a week for training and team meetings.
