Job summary

Pick n Pay Retailers in South Africa is seeking a reliable store associate to help stack and store products, correctly price items, check labels and rotate stock. You will assist customers, process orders, and promote products while adhering to laid-down standards to prevent wastage and shrinkage.

You will work as part of a team to maintain stock integrity, monitor temperatures when required, protect customer information, and ensure a tidy, secure shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Polished communication skills and the ability to interact with customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Good numeracy for pricing, stock counts and order processing.
• Customer-focused mindset with patience and a calm approach.

Responsibilities

• Stack and store products in a safe and tidy manner
• Merchandise products according to laid down standards and price items correctly
• Check labels, rotate stock, and remove expired stock
• Prevent wastage and minimise shrinkage
• Assist customers with requests and provide product information courteously
• Process customer orders according to standard procedures
• Promote products following company guidelines
• Work closely with the team to maintain a clean and secure store environment

• Stack and store products in a safe and tidy manner
• Merchandise products according to laid down standards
• Correctly price random weight/loose selling items
• Check correct pricing e.g. labels
• Check quality, rotate stock, remove expired stock
• Prevent wastage/shrinkage/damages
• Check temperatures/maintain the cold chain (if applicable)
• Adhere to and maintain security procedures
• Operate and clean equipment according to laid down standards
• Approach and advise customers on the product, listen to customers’ requests, provide the required product or services and handle customers in a courteous and business-like manner
• Process all customer orders according the correct procedures and service standards
• Promote products with laid down standards
• Matric Must reside close to store
