About the Role:
Support ICT Infrastructure and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver efficient and effective support services in Infrastructure related services (Servers, Networks, Telephony and Security)
- Installation and configuration of hardware and software for networking, telephony, Windows Server and applications complying to best practice
- Support and troubleshooting from the OS and network level, resolves system hardware and networking issues, configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating systems, firewalls, networks devices, applications, Cloud services
- Maximize network and server performance by monitoring and troubleshooting network problems in LANs, WANs, VPNs, APNs
- Securing network and server systems by establishing and enforcing IT Security policies defining and monitoring access
- Schedule and manage firmware/patching of networks, phones, servers and applications
- Process improvement and automation
- Network fault logging, server and services logging, investigations, troubleshooting, resolving local and wide area environments
- Ensure that supported hardware/applications complies to licensing agreements
- Manage suppliers of services and contract management within prescribed SLA’s
- Provide telephonic, remote, and onsite IT support at a 1st, 2nd and 3rd line level
- Attending to ICT support requests ensuring timely closure within prescribed SLA’s
- Directing the selection and installation of ICT resources and the provision of user training
- Determining infrastructure requirements, planning, provisioning, provide solutions to problems and improvement planning
- Ensuring company policies & procedures are adhered to
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors to resolve incidents, problems, and queries. Managing SLAs
- Ability to communicate technical information at all levels
- Point of contact for ICT Support Engineers requesting incident escalation
- Budget Management
- Asset management – Asset/inventory checks, disposals and relevant replacements

Preferred Qualifications:
Tertiary Education
- Formal Qualification in information Technology and/or relevant experience and successful track record
Secondary Education
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
Licenses
Experience
Minimum of 5 years IT Server, Network systems, preferably within the service industry and Microsoft, HP/Cisco environment. Coupled with 6 months + VOIP telephony experience
Technical/Core Training
MS Infrastructure, Networking, Firewall certifications preferred
IT Training (General MS etc.)
MS Word, MS Excel & MS Outlook
