Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a Head of Maintenance Workshop and Mobile Equipment to lead the auto repair workshop in Luanda, Angola. You will organize, plan, and manage resources, set maintenance programs, and drive performance.

The role requires 5+ years leading large workshop teams, knowledge of lean and reliability methodologies, and strong communication to align with global standards. You will recruit and develop staff, monitor costs, and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Superior technical training in equipment maintenance.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Minimum experience of 5 years in leading and managing auto repair shops and large equipment.
• Knowledge of management models and error diagnosis Lean 6 sigma, Kanban, FMEA, 5 Whys, PDCA.
• Knowledge of international maintenance standards.
• Ability to plan, organize and follow up on plans.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and lead daily activities in an auto repair shop.
• Define and keep organized areas, activity spaces and material flows.
• Prepare and maintain records of preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Develop maintenance plans and activity distribution.
• Controlling activity costs.
• Select and recruit technical staff for the workshop.
• Define, control and maintain workshop and employee performance indexes.
