Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Specialist Technician to maintain cranes, container ships and lifting platforms. The role reports to the Workshop Manager in Luanda, Angola, overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring performance and organization of the area.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing cranes and related systems, planning preventive maintenance, and leading a skilled team while coordinating training and skill development."

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience diagnosing and repairing cranes/container ships
• License and certificates required
• Experience with TEREX or Liebherr equipment preferred
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical crane systems
• Ability to read manuals, drawings and schematics

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, hydraulic system and other components of cranes, container ships and platforms
• Plan and perform preventive maintenance on equipment
• Test equipment and verify operational efficiency
• Prepare and maintain records of preventive maintenance and repairs
• Organize tasks, priorities and area of action
• Distribute the activities by the team
• Build and lead teams
• Detect skills deficits and propose training plans
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
