Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Sanitation Specialist to join our client in Paarl, Western Cape. You will oversee daily sanitation operations across winery facilities, lead a team of technicians, and implement SOPs to ensure strict food safety standards.

The role requires at least 4 years in sanitation within food/beverage or wine production, knowledge of cleaning agents, HACCP/GMP, and strong leadership and communication skills. Flexibility for variable shifts is expected.

Formación

• Minimum 4 years of sanitation experience in food/beverage or wine production.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents, sanitizers, and equipment used in beverage production.
• Understanding of HACCP, GMP and other food safety management systems.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Strong attention to detail and high hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work variable shifts and extended hours during peak production.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily cleaning and sanitation for winery equipment, tanks, production areas, and laboratories.
• Develop, implement and maintain SOPs for sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP and other food-safety standards.
• Lead and train sanitation technicians; monitor safety protocols.
• Manage sanitation supplies inventory and forecast needs; place orders.
• Collaborate with QA and Production to address hygiene concerns.
