Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in petroleum engineering with a focus on well completions.
• Experience designing completions for diverse well types and reservoirs.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer well completion programs for conventional, unconventional, and horizontal wells.
• Select completion equipment including liners, screens, packers, safety valves, and production tubing.
• Analyze reservoir characteristics, pressures, and fluids to inform designs.
• Evaluate completion options considering risks, costs and feasibility.
• Collaborate with drilling, production and reservoir teams for integrated design.
• Develop procedures and guidelines aligned with standards and best practices.
• Provide on-site technical support during completions as needed.
• Review post-completion data and suggest optimizations.
• Stay current with advances in completions technologies and interventions.
• Ensure designs meet safety, environmental and regulatory requirements in Mpumalanga.
