Placements24 in Benoni, Gauteng, is seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer with expertise in water resources management to lead critical projects involving water supply, wastewater treatment, stormwater, and flood control. The role blends design leadership with regulatory compliance in a hybrid work setting.

You will supervise project teams, perform hydrological analyses, develop design reports, and mentor junior engineers while managing budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with Water Resources specialization.
• 8+ years of water resources design and project management experience.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as EPANET, HEC-RAS or InfoWorks WS and CAD.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses to assess water availability and flood risks.
• Develop environmental impact assessments and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare design reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications; mentor staff.
