Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Relevant qualification in warehouse management
• At least 3 years’ experience within operations, logistics or distribution in a similar environment
• Understanding and knowledge of supply chain from buying, selling to distribution
• Technical knowledge of daily running of a frozen plant
• MS Office Suite
• Great Plains

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and disciplinary hearings and attend CCMA cases
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed
• Manage the team regarding productivity and time management
• Prevent and manage shrinkage and damages
• Manage logistics in warehousing and manage expenses in the department e.g overtime
• Manage the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Managing the food Safety Audit Program
• Utilise the prescribed systems to draw reports
• Manage the budget for the section
• Manage staff and welfare of members
• Manage the branch warehouse function
• Manage stock control and inventory function including stocktake preparation
• Enforce safety and housekeeping programme on an ongoing basis
• Leverage Great Plains reporting in order to control branch logistical functions
• Manage the statistics of picking for picker statistics and ensure productivity
