Job summary

Placements24 in George, Western Cape, is seeking a Senior VFX Artist to join our production team. You will design and implement real-time visual effects for games and animated features, collaborating with art directors, animators and technical artists to push visual storytelling.

You will refine particle systems, shaders, and performance optimizations, mentor junior artists, and help define the studio's visual style across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a VFX Artist in the game development or animation industry.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in real-time VFX creation using engines like Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 2D and 3D software (e.g., Maya, Houdini, Substance Painter, Photoshop).
• Solid understanding of shader development and performance optimization techniques.

Responsibilities
