Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior VFX Artist to join their Randburg team, delivering high-end visual effects for film and television. You will lead complex simulations, particle systems, and environmental effects, collaborating with directors and the VFX Supervisor to achieve cinematic results.

You will mentor junior artists, optimize workflows, and ensure seamless integration of effects into live-action footage using Houdini, Maya, Nuke and After Effects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a VFX Artist in film or television.
• Proficiency in industry-standard VFX software such as Houdini, Maya, Nuke, After Effects.
• Strong understanding of physics-based simulations, particle systems, and compositing techniques.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
