Placements24 is seeking a highly creative Senior VFX Artist to join a premier East London studio. You will create stunning visual effects for diverse digital media, collaborating with directors and TDs to deliver believable explosions, magic, and environmental phenomena.

You bring at least 5 years of professional VFX experience in games, film, or TV, proficiency in Houdini, Maya, After Effects, and real-time engines like Unreal or Unity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a VFX Artist in game development, film, or television.
• Proficiency in VFX creation software such as Houdini, Maya, After Effects, or similar.
• Strong understanding of particle systems, physics simulations, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, MEL).
• Experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and real-time VFX implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and implement high-quality visual effects using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with directors and supervisors to achieve the desired look and feel for VFX shots.
• Develop particle systems, simulations (fluids, smoke, fire), and shaders to create dynamic effects.
• Optimize VFX assets and simulations for real-time performance and efficient rendering.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges related to VFX creation and integration.
• Mentor junior VFX artists and contribute to the overall artistic vision of the project.

You will work closely with directors, technical directors, and other artists to bring complex effects to life, from explosions and magic spells to environmental phenomena. Key Responsibilities
