Job summary

SafetySA is seeking an experienced veterinary diagnostic serology supervisor to perform advanced serological tests, provide technical sign-off, and mentor the team. You will oversee testing accuracy, interpret results, and contribute to method development while ensuring adherence to QA, OHS, SANAS and ISO 17025 standards.

You will manage turnaround times, support instrument maintenance, and foster client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary serology testing in a diagnostic setting.
• Strong knowledge of QA, OHS, SANAS and ISO 17025 requirements.
• Ability to act as technical signatory for departmental tests.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise the serology team.
• Maintain compliance with accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced veterinary serological tests.
• Troubleshoot testing issues to ensure accuracy.
• Verify and interpret results against reference standards.
• Update SOPs and contribute to method development.
