Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or related field.
• At least 6 years of project management experience in urban development, construction, or infrastructure.
• Experience managing projects with budgets in the range of R30 million to R70 million.
• Strong understanding of local planning regulations, building codes, and environmental legislation.
• Proficiency in project management software (MS Project) and financial management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working within the North West province is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire project lifecycle for urban development initiatives from concept through handover.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, scheduling, budgeting, and resources.
• Manage project finances, track expenditures, forecast costs, and ensure budget adherence.
• Coordinate and lead project teams including consultants, contractors, and staff.
• Liaise with local government bodies, utilities, and community stakeholders.
• Ensure all projects meet building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental standards.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation to keep projects on track.
• Manage procurement for materials, services, and contractors.
• Ensure quality control and safety compliance on all sites.
