Placements24 seeks a seasoned Procurement Manager to oversee capital project procurement in Sandton. You will lead sourcing, tendering, and contract negotiations to deliver on time and within budget.

You will manage key supplier relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor a project procurement team across construction and infrastructure initiatives in Gauteng. The role demands strategic leadership, deep contract law expertise, and a track record of high-value procurements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive procurement experience with 5+ years in management of capital projects.
• Proven track record in large infrastructure or construction procurements and contract negotiations.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP and procurement software essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for major capital projects.
• Lead sourcing, tendering, and negotiation for project contracts and services.
• Manage supplier and contractor relationships throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with budgets, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee procurement risk management and collaborate with PM, engineering and finance teams.
• Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to the procurement team.
