Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Game Environment Artist with Unreal Engine expertise to craft immersive environments for unannounced AAA/AA titles. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with a global team.

You will build terrain, architecture, props, and lighting, optimize assets, and contribute to art direction, pipelines, and performance across platforms. A strong portfolio and proficiency in Maya/Blender and Substance Painter are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience as a Game Environment Artist with Unreal Engine portfolio.
• Advanced proficiency in Maya/Blender/3ds Max and Substance Painter.
• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Digital Art, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D environment assets, including terrain, architecture, foliage, props, and structures for Unreal Engine.
• Develop and implement textures, materials, and shaders to support storytelling and gameplay.
• Assemble and detail environments in Unreal Engine with attention to lighting and mood.
• Collaborate with level designers to ensure environments support gameplay flow.
• Work with art directors to maintain visual style and quality across environments.
• Optimize assets for performance across target platforms.
• Produce environment concept art or mood boards when required.
• Participate in art reviews and provide constructive feedback to teammates.
• Stay updated on techniques and tools in game environment art and Unreal Engine.
