Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to join their Nelspruit-based team. You will craft intuitive interfaces and engaging experiences across interactive products, translating player psychology into user-centered designs.

You will lead the full design process from research and wireframing to high-fidelity mockups, collaborating with designers, developers, and artists to deliver polished UI/UX for games and applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional UI/UX design experience, preferably in gaming or interactive media.
• Strong portfolio with wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
• Understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within a game studio or tech company in Nelspruit.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces and user experiences for games and applications.
• Conduct user research, create user personas, and develop user journey maps.
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs for UI elements.
• Collaborate closely with game designers, programmers, and artists to ensure seamless integration of UI/UX.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on feedback and data.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, best practices, and technologies.
