Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead UI/UX Designer in Benoni to shape the user experience of interactive entertainment products. You will lead a design team, collaborating with product managers, developers and researchers to translate user needs into exceptional journeys.

You will drive visual language, interaction design and design systems across platforms, ensuring intuitive, engaging interfaces and high-quality user research outputs. A strong leadership presence and portfolio are essential.

Qualifications

6+ years of UI/UX design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX work for interactive products/games.
Proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch.
Deep understanding of user-centered design, interaction design and information architecture.
Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
Excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of UI/UX for games and applications.
Develop user personas, flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity mockups.
Conduct user research, usability testing and analyze feedback to inform design decisions.
Establish and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI guidelines for consistency.
Mentor and manage a team of UI/UX designers, providing constructive feedback.
