Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transport planning, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Proven expertise in route optimization and network design.
• Proficiency with transport planning software and TMS systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Experience working in a hybrid model, with regular in-office presence required at our Cape Town, Western Cape location.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of relevant transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive transport and logistics plans.
• Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Optimize delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times and costs.
• Coordinate with fleet managers, drivers, and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Utilise transport planning software and other technologies to support decision-making.
• Monitor KPIs for transport operations and report on performance.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain.
• Contribute to the development of departmental budgets and strategies.
