Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst with Threat Intelligence experience to join the IT & Software division in Centurion. You will identify, analyze, and mitigate cyber threats, develop detection capabilities, and provide actionable intelligence to security operations and incident response teams.

The role emphasizes threat modeling, research on emerging threats, and close collaboration with SOC and IR teams. A strong security background and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity with focus on threat intelligence or security operations.
• Strong understanding of attacker methodologies, TTPs, and threat landscapes.
• Experience with threat intel platforms and security analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret threat intel feeds to identify risks.
• Develop threat models and profiles for the organization's environment.
• Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack paths.
• Deliver actionable threat intelligence reports to SOC and IR teams.
• Assist in tuning security controls based on threat intel.
• Contribute to incident response efforts using threat intel.
