Job summary

The ideal candidate has strong Oracle SQL skills, experience testing SOAP/REST services, and a proactive mindset to improve processes, automation, and risk management within an investment administration context.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of investment administration systems and processes, including investor accounts, investments, withdrawals, switches, fees, standing instructions, holdings and balances.
• Strong Oracle SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation and defect investigation.
• Experience testing batch processes and End-of-Day workflows.
• Experience testing user interfaces and end-to-end business processes.
• Experience testing SOAP and REST web services.
• The ability to investigate problems across applications, services, databases and connected systems.
• Experience testing changes delivered by an outsourced development team.
• Strong test planning, defect management, test evidence and release reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of testing activities within your team across the SDLC.
• Apply and promote best testing practices within the team.
• Participate in defining the testing approach for each sprint.
• Work closely with Business Analysts to derive clear, testable user stories.
• Collaborate closely with Developers to identify, log, prioritize, and verify defects.
• Contribute to automated tests in-sprint and maintain test data.
• Review merge requests and keep pipelines healthy and current.
• Report on test execution, risks and issues; drive root cause analysis.
