Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to deliver temporary works and robust structural solutions for infrastructure, construction, buildings and heavy industry projects.

You will lead design teams, produce calculations and reports, mentor junior engineers and manage client relationships on site visits and during construction, with hybrid working after probation.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years' Temporary Works experience for structural engineer
• Experience producing structural calculations and technical reports
• Strong knowledge of design standards and codes

Responsibilities

• Temporary works design in accordance with BS5975 and Eurocodes
• Design and assessment of steel and reinforced concrete structures
• Temporary propping and support systems
• Demolition sequencing and structural stability assessments
• Production and review of calculations, drawings and reports
• Leading projects and managing client relationships
• Site visits and technical support during construction phases
• Mentoring junior engineers where appropriate
