Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Telecoms RF Engineer based in Kimberley to design, optimize, and deploy RF networks, ensuring signal quality, coverage and capacity for wireless systems. You will perform simulations, site surveys, and field tests while collaborating in a hybrid work environment.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications and at least 6 years in RF, with LTE/5G knowledge and experience using planning tools such as Atoll and Planet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of RF engineering experience in mobile/wireless telecoms.
• In-depth knowledge of RF propagation, antenna theory, and LTE/5G tech.
• Experience with RF planning/optimization tools (Atoll, Planet).
• Experience with spectrum analysis and interference mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan RF network layouts, site selection, antenna placement, power settings.
• Perform RF site surveys, drive tests, and network performance analysis.
• Optimize RF networks for capacity, coverage, and quality.
• Troubleshoot RF issues and ensure performance standards.
• Develop RF documentation: propagation maps, interference analysis, design guidelines.
• Stay updated on RF tech trends and propose innovative solutions.
