Placements24 seeks a highly experienced Senior Telecoms Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and maintain the physical and logical infrastructure of the telecoms network in East London. Lead complex projects and mentor junior engineers to ensure robust, scalable services across the region.

You will oversee fiber optic, data centers, and base station deployments, driving reliability and performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with business goals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in telecoms infrastructure design and management.
• Degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic networks, transmission and data center infra.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Proficiency in network planning and design software.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee deployment of telecoms infrastructure including fiber, base stations, and data centers.
• Manage network infrastructure projects from inception to completion within budget and timeline.
• Perform capacity planning and forecasting for network growth.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues affecting network performance.
• Develop standards and best practices for deployment and maintenance.
