Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Telecommunications Project Manager to oversee critical deployment projects in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. You will manage resources, stakeholders and risks to deliver network build-outs and upgrades, ensuring scope, budget, and timelines are met.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate vendor contracts, and ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards while driving project success and continuous improvement in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years in project management with telecom infrastructure focus.
• PMP or Prince2 certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills expected.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client, a leading telecommunications infrastructure provider, is seeking a seasoned Senior Telecommunications Project Manager to oversee critical deployment projects in the Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape region. This role demands a proactive and detail-oriented individual capable of managing complex projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline. You will be responsible for coordinating resources, managing stakeholders, and mitigating risks to deliver successful telecommunications network build-outs and upgrades. This is a key position that directly contributes to the expansion and improvement of essential communication services in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of telecommunications projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies (fiber optics, wireless, network infrastructure).
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• PMP or Prince2 certification is highly preferred.
