Placements24 seeks a Senior Telecommunications Hardware Engineer for our client’s facility in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced telecom hardware systems, specifying requirements and validating performance to ensure reliability and scalability.

The role requires 8+ years in telecom hardware, strong analog/digital circuit, power electronics, and RF knowledge, with hands-on use of Altium Designer, Cadence, and test equipment.

Qualifications

• Requires 8+ years of progressive experience in telecommunications hardware engineering.
• Experience in designing and developing complex electronic hardware for telecom applications.
• In-depth knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and RF principles.
• Proficiency with hardware design tools (Altium Designer, Cadence) and simulation software.
• Experience with hardware testing and measurement equipment.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop telecommunications hardware components and systems, including power, signaling, and transmission equipment.
• Specify hardware requirements based on system architecture and performance goals.
• Evaluate and select electronic components and subsystems from vendors.
