Pro5.ai is seeking a commercially minded Senior Technical SEO Specialist to lead advanced technical SEO across a diverse portfolio of high-profile clients.

You’ll mentor junior colleagues, contribute to internal R&D, and help scale tools and templates used across the organisation while driving measurable SEO outcomes and a strategic focus on AI-led search, GEO, and international deployments.

Our client is looking for a commercially minded Senior Technical SEO Specialist to lead advanced technical SEO delivery across a diverse portfolio of high-profile clients.

You’ll also help clients prepare for the evolving search landscape, including AI Overviews, LLM-based answer engines, and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).

Beyond client delivery, you’ll mentor junior and mid-level colleagues, contribute to internal research and development, and help improve the tools, templates, and frameworks used across the organisation.

Reporting to a Technical SEO Lead or the Head of SEO Client Delivery, this role offers a clear development path toward becoming a Technical SEO Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead advanced technical SEO audits and develop actionable recommendations.
• Diagnose and recover from organic traffic drops, investigating algorithm updates and technical issues.
• Plan and oversee large-scale website migrations and international SEO implementations, including bespoke websites.
• Develop technical SEO strategies aligned with client business objectives and measurable outcomes.
• Help clients improve their technical readiness for AI-powered search, LLM visibility, and Generative Engine Optimisation.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and client stakeholders to support the implementation of technical recommendations.
• Manage senior client relationships, present recommendations to C-level stakeholders, and secure buy-in for technical SEO initiatives.
• Mentor junior and mid-level team members, review their work, provide constructive feedback, and deliver training.
• Contribute to internal R&D, automation, service transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and use AI-assisted workflows, scripts, and tools to improve SEO analysis, quality assurance, monitoring, and reporting.
• Stay up to date with search engine developments, algorithm changes, and emerging SEO practices.

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience and Skills

• At least 5 years of SEO experience, including significant client account management experience.
• Proven track record of delivering technical and strategic SEO campaigns with measurable results.
• Advanced technical SEO expertise, including:
• Technical audits and traffic drop recovery
• Core Web Vitals and page performance
• Schema markup
• Website migrations
• International and local SEO
• Strong understanding of search algorithm updates, including core updates, E-E-A-T, and Helpful Content.
• Knowledge of AI search developments, LLM visibility, and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).
• Strong understanding of website technologies, including CMS platforms, CDNs, bespoke website builds, and technical architecture.
• Proficiency with tools such as Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, GA4, and Looker Studio.
• Hands‑on experience using AI and automation, such as Python scripts, APIs, AI‑assisted workflows, or LLM‑powered tools.
• Experience managing senior client stakeholders, including CMOs, CTOs, and Heads of Product or Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to align SEO strategy with business objectives.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, reviewing work, or providing constructive feedback to colleagues.
