Job summary

Time Personnel in Bellville, South Africa, seeks an Internal Sales Assistant to support walk-in and telephonic inquiries, prepare quotes and manage orders. You will ensure accurate contracts and records while coordinating with yard and operations to ensure equipment availability.

Training will be provided to maintain product knowledge, and you will assist with reporting and supervisory tasks as you grow in the role.

Qualifications

• Matric with optional tertiary studies in business management.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
• 1–3 years' internal sales experience in a technical/hardware hire environment preferred.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans with strong communication.
• Accurate administration and attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of POS or hire systems advantageous.
• Proactive with initiative and ability to work under pressure.
• Able to work Monday–Friday, with two Saturdays a month.

Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in customers and telephonic enquiries with product selection and hire solutions
• Prepare quotations, process orders and manage invoicing
• Ensure accurate administration of contracts and customer records
• Coordinate with the yard and operations team for equipment availability and readiness
• Handle customer queries, follow-ups and problem resolution professionally
• Maintain strong product knowledge to confidently advise clients (further training provided)
• Support stock control and general branch administration
• Assist the Branch Manager with reporting, planning and operational oversight
• Gradually take on supervisory responsibilities
