Job summary

MyCareerCraft is seeking a Technical Buyer for our North West operations. The role is permanent and on-site, with responsibilities across procurement of equipment, consumables, and services.

You will collaborate with Finance, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate has a Purchasing/Supply Chain background, 5+ years in purchasing, and experience in technical or automotive environments.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or related field is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a purchasing role (plant or programme purchasing preferred).
• Experience in technical, manufacturing, or automotive environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Purchase equipment, consumables, materials and related items.
• Coordinate orders and payments with Finance.
• Source production and maintenance tools and consumables.
• Manage supplier relationships and track performance.
• Negotiate frame contracts for price stability and value for money.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead relevant projects.
• Create purchase orders, confirm orders with suppliers, and follow up on deliveries.
• Participate in demand planning and forecasting to support tenders.
• Handle day-to-day RFQs based on internal specifications.
• Support the sourcing team and head office with procurement activities as needed.
• Create and maintain system part numbers for accurate business planning.
• Ensure purchasing policies and procedures are followed; report irregularities.
• Manage procurement of capital expenditure, commodities, spare parts, and services across relevant global plants.
• Handle complex procurement challenges with independence and sound judgement.
• Maintain and update the supplier database.
• Provide general administrative and purchasing support as required.
