Job summary

Profile Personnel is seeking a Buyer to join the automotive procurement team. You will source production components, manage RFQs, quotations, and supplier negotiations while driving localisation and cost competitiveness to ensure uninterrupted production.

You will analyse supplier performance, prepare business cases, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and logistics to resolve issues and implement changes on schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years purchasing experience in automotive manufacturing or automotive supplier industry.
• Degree or Diploma in Purchasing, Logistics, Commerce, Finance, Business Management, or a technical qualification.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills; ability to engage at all organisational levels.
• Experience with production components; electrical harness experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Source production components and manage RFQs, supplier quotations and negotiations.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and benchmark supplier pricing.
• Present sourcing recommendations and business cases to committees.
• Manage supplier readiness, capacity planning and tooling requirements.
• Coordinate and implement engineering changes within required timelines.
• Support production, quality and logistics by resolving supplier-related issues.
