Job summary
BET Software is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer II to manage its Windows/Linux networks, AD/Exchange, and enterprise IT services in Durban. You will install patches, configure monitoring systems, and provide 1st/2nd line support to staff.
The role requires 4+ years in IT, relevant IT qualifications, and familiarity with VIP Payroll and Pastel Evolution. You will work with senior engineers to ensure security and reliability across all systems.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology.
- Microsoft certifications desirable.
- 4+ years in a similar IT engineering role.
- Experience with enterprise VoIP and MS Exchange.
- Experience with scripting and SQL queries.
Responsibilities
- Administer Windows/Linux networks including servers and desktops.
- Maintain Windows Server, AD, Group Policy and Exchange.
- Install patches, updates and service packs promptly.
- Configure NMS systems (Nagios, NetFlow, Cacti).
- Provide tier 1-2 IT support and end-user assistance.
- Manage backups, security suites and auditing tasks.
- Support VIP Payroll, VIP People and Pastel Evolution environments.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to keep systems secure and compliant.
