Prime System Solutions in South Africa seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to lead day-to-day operations and guide complex projects. You will manage client infrastructure, including Windows servers, networks, cloud platforms, and security tooling, with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation.

The role requires 5+ years in an MSP environment, strong AD/GP, firewall and security controls, and hands-on experience with CMMC, NIST, HIPAA, or SOC 2 frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Systems Administrator experience in an MSP environment.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Experience with firewalls, networking, and endpoint security solutions.
• Hands-on with compliance/security frameworks such as CMMC, NIST, HIPAA or SOC 2.
• Proven track record in delivering IT projects on time and within scope.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot escalated technical issues (L3) and mentor junior engineers.
• Develop and maintain documentation for client systems, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver solutions on time and within scope.
• Monitor system performance and address vulnerabilities, outages, or compliance gaps.

We’re seeking a Senior Systems Administrator who can not only manage day-to-day operations but also take the lead on complex projects and guide clients through evolving security frameworks such as CMMC and NIST.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize client infrastructure including servers, networks, cloud platforms (Azure, Microsoft 365), and security solutions.
• Lead and execute IT projects end-to-end (migrations, deployments, upgrades, cloud transitions).

• Strong technical expertise in:
• Windows Server / Active Directory / Group Policy
• Firewalls, networking, and endpoint security solutions
• Hands-on experience with compliance/security frameworks (CMMC, NIST, HIPAA, or SOC 2).
• Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, CISSP, CISM, or CMMC-related credentials).
