Job summary

EdUpStairs in South Africa is seeking a Senior SCM professional to oversee demand, acquisition, logistics and contract management activities. The role requires knowledge of SCM procedures, procurement laws and treasury regulations, as well as a valid driver’s licence to manage field activities.

The successful candidate will render administrative SCM support, coordinate procurement planning, capture requests electronically, and supervise bid and contract processes in accordance with prescripts

Qualifications

• Senior/Grade 12 certificate or relevant qualification.
• Three to five years experience in Supply Chain Management.
• Valid unexpired driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of SCM administration procedures, procurement policies and legislation.
• Knowledge of Government Logistics Management System and LOGIS.
• Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations and SCM Practice notes.
• Knowledge of supply chain management concepts and processes.
• Knowledge of treasury regulations and dispute resolution policies.
• Understanding of social and economic development issues.
• Basic financial management and knowledge management.

Responsibilities

• Render demand, acquisition, logistics and contract management support services.
• Render the SCM administrative roles and follow relevant policies and regulations.
• Facilitate procurement planning, acquisition and logistics of goods and services.
• Capture acquisition requests on the electronic purchasing system.
• Provide secretarial support to Bid Committees and assist with tender processes.
• Assist with tender compilation and ensure alignment with SCM prescripts.
• Respond to queries during tender sessions and check bid document responsiveness.
• Monitor tender validity periods and coordinate bidding processes.
• Arrange and attend Bid Evaluation Committee meetings; prepare Bidder registers and scoring models.
• Prepare recommendations for adjudication and supervise SCM processes.

Education

Senior/Grade 12 certificate or relevant qualification

Three to five years experience in Supply Chain Management

Valid unexpired driver's licence
