Placements24 client in the Oil & Gas sector seeks a Senior Subsurface Engineer for asset development in Midrand, Gauteng. The role blends office collaboration with remote flexibility in a hybrid setup, focusing on reservoir characterization, production optimization, and economic evaluation.

You will analyze assets, identify EOR opportunities, and contribute to development plans while working with geoscientists, drilling and production engineers, and management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of subsurface engineering or asset development experience.
• Proven expertise in reservoir simulation, well performance analysis, and economic modeling.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed subsurface analysis, including reservoir characterization and forecasting.
• Develop asset development and enhanced oil recovery strategies.
• Perform economic evaluations with rNPV calculations.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling, and production teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and stay updated on industry best practices.
