Hitachi Energy South Africa (Pty) Ltd in Johannesburg is seeking a Tender & Quotation Specialist to lead the preparation and submission of complex substation tenders across the South Africa region.

You will work with sales, engineering, supply chain, project management, legal, quality, and customer stakeholders to develop competitive technical and commercial proposals while ensuring compliance with business processes and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 8–12 years in substation tendering, proposal management or project engineering.
• Strong knowledge of substation products, systems and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and submission of medium- to high-complexity tenders across South Africa.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, supply chain, project management, legal, quality and customer stakeholders.
• Develop tender strategies, pricing approaches, and optimized technical solutions.
• Review diagrams, layouts and equipment selections such as transformers and switchgear.
• Assess risks and manage vendor quotations with sourcing inputs.
• Ensure complete tender documentation and handover to execution teams.
