Placements24 seeks a Senior Subsea Pipeline Engineer for our client in Sandton, Gauteng. The role covers design, integrity management and lifecycle support of offshore subsea pipelines with a hybrid work arrangement.

Ideal candidate has a strong engineering foundation, 8+ years in subsea projects, and proficiency with SAGE Profile, OrcaFlex, and Caesar II. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive safety, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of subsea pipeline engineering experience.
• Proficient with subsea design, installation and integrity management.
• Experience with industry standards and project leadership duties.
• Strong communication and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead subsea pipeline design, routing, wall-thickness calculations and material selection.
• Conduct pipeline integrity assessments including corrosion and fatigue.
• Develop drawings, P&IDs and construction specifications for projects.
• Oversee third-party contractors and fabricators involved in pipeline work.
• Ensure compliance with international codes and regulations (DNV, API, ISO).
• Support fabrication, installation and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with subsea, structural and process engineers for integrated delivery.
• Develop strategies for pipeline surveillance and maintenance.
• Perform root cause analysis for failures and incidents.
