Communicate Finance is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in South Africa to lead projects from concept to delivery, focusing on concrete and steel structures for industrial buildings.

You will manage budgets and timelines, liaise with clients and multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, conduct site visits, and ensure compliance with standards. PrEng registration and a BEng/BSc in Civil are essential.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering required.
• PrEng registration with ECSA required.
• SA residency or valid work permit required.
• 7+ years of structural engineering consulting experience.
• Experience with reinforced concrete and structural steel structures.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 7 years' experience in structural engineering consulting
• Proven experience designing reinforced concrete and structural steel structures, including commercial and industrial buildings
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Advanced proficiency in Prokon and finite element analysis software
• Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
• Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle

Qualification

• BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering
• Professionally registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (PrEng)
