Job summary

Communicate Finance seeks a senior structural engineer to lead design for mining, process plant and heavy infrastructure in South Africa. You will deliver calculations, drawings and documentation, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams while guiding procurement and site support.

The role requires 15+ years in structural engineering, with EPCM project experience and proficiency in reinforced concrete and steel design, plus hands-on use of Robot, Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks.

Qualifications

• 15+ years' structural engineering experience, ideally within mining or heavy infrastructure.
• Proven experience delivering projects within an EPCM environment.
• Strong reinforced concrete design experience including foundations, pump stations and tanks.
• Strong structural steel design experience including ventilation ducting, underground support sets and maintenance platforms.

Skills & Experience

• 15+ years' structural engineering experience, ideally within mining or heavy infrastructure
• Proven experience delivering projects within an EPCM environment
• Strong experience in reinforced concrete design, including foundations, pump stations and tanks
• Strong structural steel design experience, including ventilation ducting, underground support sets and maintenance platforms
• Advanced knowledge of Robot, Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks
• Strong leadership, technical writing, problem-solving and multidisciplinary coordination skills

Qualifications

• BSc, BEng or BTech in Structural Engineering
• ECSA Pr.Eng registration with a minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience
