Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design, analysis, and integrity assessments of offshore platforms from a fully remote location. You will work with global teams on topsides, jackets, and subsea structures, ensuring compliance with API, DNV, and ISO codes.

You will apply FEA tools such as SACS, ANSYS, and STAAD.Pro, mentor junior engineers, and participate in safety reviews. The role requires 8+ years in offshore oil and gas structures and a PE or equivalent is

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of offshore structural engineering experience.
• Proven experience with FEA and structural design software (SACS/ANSYS/STAAD).
• Deep knowledge of offshore structural codes and standards (API/DNV/ISO).
• Experience with fatigue, seismic, and blast loading is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analysis and design of offshore platforms, including topsides, jackets, and subsea structures.

• Conduct structural integrity assessments, including fatigue analysis and fitness-for-service evaluations.
• Manage and review structural engineering deliverables, ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., process, mechanical, naval architecture) to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior structural engineers and designers in remote settings.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, and other safety review meetings, providing structural input.
• Oversee the structural aspects of fabrication and installation, liaising with construction teams remotely.
• Stay current with advancements in structural analysis software, materials, and offshore engineering technologies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the structural engineering of offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Proven expertise in finite element analysis (FEA) and structural design software (e.g., SACS, ANSYS, STAAD.Pro).
• Deep understanding of offshore structural codes, standards, and best practices.
• Experience with fatigue analysis, seismic analysis, and blast loading is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills, with experience working in international, remote environments.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a remote work setting.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent chartership is a strong advantage.
