Job summary

Tumaini Consulting is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a Pretoria-based engineering consultancy. The role leads design and delivery of complex structures and provides technical direction across projects.

You will mentor junior professionals and contribute to business growth, with a focus on feasibility studies, reporting, and high-quality delivery. BEng/BSc, 10+ years, and ECSA Professional registration are required.

Qualifications

BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
10+ years in structural/civil engineering with at least 2 years post-registration.
Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
Experience with commercial developments (office, retail, hotels, healthcare).
Experience with bridges or water-retaining structures advantageous.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Prokon and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage structural engineering projects from inception through completion.
Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, specifications and other documentation.
Conduct feasibility studies and technical due diligence to support project development.
Plan, coordinate and manage design resources to meet quality, schedule and delivery requirements.
