Placements24 in Port Elizabeth seeks a Structural Engineer to join our design team. You will design, analyze, and oversee structural integrity for building projects, ensuring safety, stability, and code compliance.

You will collaborate with architects and construction teams to deliver resilient solutions. A Bachelor's or Master's in structural/civil engineering with 5+ years' design experience is required, with proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000 and Revit. Pr Eng registration is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in structural design for buildings.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, Revit).
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and relevant engineering codes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for new construction and renovation projects.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Ensure designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with architects and other consultants to integrate structural systems into overall building design.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design intent.
