The Role: Senior Structural Engineer
Job Profile:
Project Management
- Lead and manage structural engineering projects.
- Oversee projects in all respects, including budgeting, resource allocation, procedures, profitability, quality, and standards.
- Develop and communicate project goals and deliverables; assess and evaluate project team performance to ensure successful completion.
- Preparation of project plans, conducting project health checks, and implementing recovery plans where necessary.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
Client and Stakeholder Liaison
- Undertake client liaison and communication with all stakeholders on individual projects.
- Conduct and attend meetings with clients, professional teams, and contractors.
- Support the Business Development team and relevant executives in identifying tendering opportunities, preparing RFPs, and contributing to full tender submissions.
Technical Coordination and Quality
- Ensure technical coordination within the business and with external team members and stakeholders.
- Oversee project production efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
- Evaluate customer or public complaints, determine the nature and extent of the problem, and recommend remedial measures.
- Ensure all project processes comply with the company’s QMS and ISO 9001 standards.
- Generate project reports as required by the business.

Qualification & Experience
- BSc / BEng / B-Tech Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 10–15 years post-first qualification experience in the built environment, with at least 5 years in a client-facing Project Management or Technical Lead role.
- Professionally registered with ECSA (Pr. Eng.)
- Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Technologist.
- Proven track record as a Project/Technical Lead on multi-disciplinary building and infrastructure projects.
- Project management experience across medium to high-rise office, residential, educational, healthcare, commercial, and industrial buildings, and water-retaining structures.
- Experience in contract administration and management of multi-disciplinary building and infrastructure projects.
