Job summary
Placements24 seeks a diligent Structural Design Engineer to contribute to building and infrastructure projects in Bloemfontein. Eng./Pr. Tech Eng. registration, and at least 5 years of design experience, with proficiency in Robot Structural Analysis, Prokon, and AutoCAD.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Registration as Pr.Eng. or Pr. Tech. Eng. with ECSA.
- Minimum 5 years of structural design experience.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of materials and construction methods.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for building superstructures and substructures (concrete, steel, masonry).
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations and specs.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and support construction.
- Collaborate with architects and consultants to integrate designs.
- Ensure designs meet building codes and SANS standards.
- Review shop drawings and respond to site queries.
