Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Structural Civil Engineer to join our client’s Rustenburg team and lead design and analysis for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. You will collaborate with architects, project managers and contractors to ensure safety, stability and code compliance, developing detailed drawings, calculations and reports for construction teams on-site.

Qualifications

BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with a Structural specialization.
Minimum 7 years' experience in structural design of buildings.
Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration is advantageous.
Proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, Prokon and AutoCAD.
In-depth knowledge of concrete, steel, and masonry design principles.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for building foundations, superstructures, and other building components.
Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
Ensure designs comply with the National Building Regulations and relevant structural codes.
Review construction submittals and provide technical support to site teams during the construction phase.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to resolve design and construction issues.
